Ree Talks: The Hard Part of Faith

Ree Talks: The Hard Part of Faith

Today, I’m really struggling.

I’m jobless.
My vehicle is down.
And things are tight.

I know things will turn around.
But it’s hard to keep going when you feel helpless… and useless.

Yes, I remember where my help comes from.
And yes, I know that faith without works is dead.
But when you’ve done all you can — and the only next step looks like begging — what do you do?

That’s where I’m stuck.

I know God has brought me through much worse than this.
But the waiting and the wondering — that’s where the heaviness sits.

It’s hard to watch things crumble when there’s nothing you can do in the moment but wait.
And I’m a doer.
But God? He’s Thee Doer.

So with that said…

I will sit.
I will pray.
I will stay still.
And I will wait for my Father to do His will.

How many times have you gone through challenges as a believer — knowing full well that God is a provider — yet still try to help Him do His job?

I know why I’m here.
This is a test of my faith. A test of my belief.

Sometimes we get complacent when things are just alright. Not perfect — but manageable.

And then comes that shake-up.
It’s like God saying:
“Oh, so you think you can keep doing life without acknowledging Me? Let Me remind you who you belong to — and who’s really making things happen.”

Not to punish us.
But to nudge us.
To remind us who we are and who we represent.

He doesn’t want lazy children.
He wants prosperous, diligent, productive children —
Children who speak boldly of His goodness, not just for ourselves, but for others who need to see it.

This is why I began this blog.

Not to preach.
But to show you that everyone goes through trials and tribulations.

It’s not about avoiding the hard times —
It’s about how you push through them, and how you remember:
You didn’t do it alone.

Doing the bare minimum isn’t enough anymore.
We’re here for more than that.

Lovingly,
~ Ree
